Community outreach worker
The Community worker will be a member of our community health promotion
team, conducting need assessment survey, providing assistance on
education smoking prevention and anti smoking cessation among the
Ethnic Minority community in Hong Kong.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct survey and assist in community based anti smoking promotional
activities and smoking cessation.
• To work under the supervision of the Project Manager.
Requirement:
• Form 4 or above.
• At least one year working experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility and
commitment
• Ability to work in teams with tight deadlines and under pressure.
• Fluent in spoken and written English, Communication skill of
Cantonese will be an advantage
• Fluent spoken, written and typing skill in South Asian languages such
as Nepali, Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi would be an advantage
• Good PC knowledge of MS Office
• Sensitivity and respect for different cultures and religions
• Ability to work in demanding multicultural environment

Job Adv. for New Jockey
Club Project
A new three-year project
funded by the Jockey Club Charities Trust supporting the leadership and
organizational development of ethnic minority communities for their
social integration and the racial harmony in Hong Kong. Services
include Consultation on proposal writing, funding sourcing and
organizational development, Community Funding Scheme, Leadership
Training and Practicum.
Project Leader
- Lead and supervise a multi-ethnic team for new
service development
- Degree holder or above, preferably with social work
degree
- 3-year work experience in social work or welfare
field, preferably with supervisory and/or training experiences
- Good command of spoken and written English
- Interested and committed to work with others from
diverse cultural and religious background
- Experience in networking and collaborating with
ethnic minorities will be an advantage
- Strong project management and organizational skills,
self-motivated, open-minded, outgoing and responsible
Applicants with less
experience will be considered as Project Officer. Posts are open to
non-Chinese speaking candidates.
Ethnic Minority Program
Worker/ Officer
- Form 5 or above, preferably with two-year working
experience in NGO or school setting
- Able to network and collaborate with different ethnic
minority communities
- Command of spoken and written English. Proficient in
at least one South Asian language. Able to speak Cantonese will be an
advantage
- Responsible, strong learning motive, self-motivated,
open-minded, outgoing and cooperative
Part-time Clerk
- Form 7 or above with English subject passed,
preferably with working experience in social welfare field
- Able to perform clerical and Center administrative
duties, especially for funding applications
- Familiar with using Word, Excel, Power Point and
preferably website design
- Confident to speak English and willing to work in a
multi-cultural environment
- Responsible, cooperative, details-oriented and
flexible
